Every message lands in front of a person, not a ticket-routing robot. Tips, corrections, disagreements, and questions about anything published here are all welcome, and the more specific your note when you contact us, the faster and better the reply.
Reaching the Newsroom
Use the form below, or write directly to [email protected], for anything: feedback on an essay, a factual challenge, a licensing request, a partnership inquiry, or a data-rights request under our Privacy Policy. Messages are read within one business day and answered within two in the typical case; licensing and legal matters can take a few days longer when they require checking records. If your message concerns an error in a published piece, say so in the first line, because corrections jump the queue.
Corrections Set Right
Accuracy outranks pride here, and our corrections policy is deliberately public. If we got a number, a date, a name, an attribution, or a mechanism wrong, tell us what the error is, where it appears, and, if you can, point to a source. What happens next follows a fixed protocol: we verify the claim, fix the text, and append a dated correction note to the affected essay describing what changed. Errors of substance receive visible notes; typographical slips are fixed silently. We do not delete essays to hide mistakes, and we do not argue with correct corrections. Our complete, binding procedure, including how correction notes are dated and displayed, is published in the Editorial Standards. Readers who catch substantive errors are thanked in the correction note unless they prefer otherwise.
Before You Hit Send
- Story tips and feedback: include links or documents where possible; unverifiable claims are hard to act on.
- Corrections: quote the exact sentence you are challenging, then give your evidence; the corrections procedure takes it from there.
- Licensing and permissions: name the specific essay, chart, or table, the intended use, and the audience size; the Copyright and DMCA Policy lists what is already free (classroom use nearly always is) and what needs a written yes.
- Partnerships: note that we publish no sponsored content and no paid placements, as the Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure explains, so proposals premised on either will be declined kindly but firmly.
- Privacy and data requests: state what you want (access, correction, deletion, portability) and the email address the request concerns; the rights themselves are defined in the Privacy Policy and answered within 30 days.

Handling of Your Details
Whatever you submit here is stored solely so we can read it and reply, as the Privacy Policy describes in full. Contact details are never added to the newsletter list without your explicit request, never shared with advertisers, and never sold. Conversations about corrections may be summarized in a correction note, but your identity appears only with your permission. Closed conversations are purged in periodic cleanups.
