Eiga Aditya Radja
I am an undergraduate student of Economics at Diponegoro University (Universitas Diponegoro), Faculty of Economics and Business, in Semarang, Indonesia. Colbertism is my publication: every essay, every hand-drawn chart, every formula block, and every correction note on this site is my work. I write it because economics deserves better than the two formats it usually gets, the shallow explainer and the sealed journal article, and because writing a thing properly turns out to be the most honest way to learn it.
My coursework concentrates on industrial organization, public economics, and international trade. My reading list does not respect semester boundaries: financial markets, auction and market design, platform economics, and economic history all end up on it, and eventually on this site.
Education and Focus
Diponegoro University’s economics program is where the spine of this site comes from. Industrial economics lectures became essays on producer behavior and market power; public economics problem sets grew into long reads on externalities and taxation; trade theory turned into a history of comparative advantage told through forty-foot containers. Beyond the syllabus, I work through the standard graduate references and the empirical literature on my own schedule, because the questions worth writing about rarely wait for the right semester. Areas where I am currently deepest: market structure and competition, the economics of the public sector, asset pricing fundamentals, and the design of real-world market mechanisms.
Working Habits You Can Check
Claims about rigor are cheap, so this site is built to let readers audit mine. Every formula that appears in an essay is rederived by hand before publication rather than transcribed on trust. Every chart is drawn from scratch as a vector figure, which forces me to understand exactly what each curve is doing before I can draw it. Illustrative numbers are labeled illustrative, reported figures are attributed as reported, and the phrase “roughly” appears wherever precision would be dishonest. When an error slips through anyway, the corrections procedure guarantees the mistake and its fix are both public, with dates. That is the deal I offer readers: not infallibility, but traceability.

Spreadsheet modeling and statistical tooling for working the numbers; hand-built SVG for every figure on the site; a self-hosted WordPress stack tuned for fast, uncluttered reading; and revision as the core craft, rewriting each passage until a first-year student and an examiner could both nod at it. I care about performance and typography more than a writer probably should, which is why the site loads light and reads clean on a phone.

The publication’s rules, from sourcing to advertising, are written down in the policy library rather than implied. And the About page explains what this site is as an institution, separate from who I am as its author.
Off the Clock
Away from the editor I read economic history for pleasure, follow central bank communication the way other people follow sports commentary, and lose chess games I was winning eight moves earlier. Coffee consumption during finals week is best treated as a rounding error in national statistics. I keep those details here deliberately: publications earn trust from named, specific humans, not from anonymous authority.
